Air France Resumes Operations in Kenya After 18 Years

After 18 years of being Away from the East African market, Air France has made a major comeback with the introduction of 3 Nairobi bound weekly flights.

Through a signed partnership with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and the Kenya Airways, the Airline seeks to consolidate its capacity in the East African Region.

Through the joint venture, Air France, KLM and Kenya Airways customers will be able to reserve flights operated on a code-share basis by one of the three airlines on round-trip services Paris-Nairobi and Amsterdam-Nairobi.

Air France Africa Senior Vice President Frank Legre said that the airline was resuming flights following a strong relationship and good tides with Kenya Airways.

Travelers will thus benefit from 24 daily between Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Amsterdam-Schiphol and Nairobi.

“We are coming up with a new agreement that will benefit travelers from 24 daily flights between Paris, Amsterdam, and Nairobi,” said Frank Legre.

With the new agreement in place, customers will also benefit from a streamlined travel experience between Europe and East Africa through the three hubs and improved connections to 26beyond Nairobi’s destinations.

Legre disclosed that the commercial joint venture came about as a result of striving businesses between Kenya and France.
