Deacons Top Gainer as Flame Tree Tails During Wednesday’s Session
Top Gainers
Deacons (East Africa) was the top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange with 7.55 percent at the price of 2.85 shillings per share.
The second top gainer of the day was WPP ScanGroup with 6.25 percent at the price of 17.00 shillings per share.
Liberty Kenya, Carbacid Investments, and Kenya Airways gained 4.69, 4.17 and 3.96 percent respectively at the price of 14.50, 12.50 and 10.50 shillings per share.
Top Losers
Flame Tree Group was the top loser with 9.30 percent at the price of 3.90 shillings per share.
Sanlam Kenya and Home Afrika lost 6.19 and 4.55 percent at the price of 26.50 and 1.05 shillings per share respectively.
Bamburi Cement and Trans-Century lost 3.85 and 3.26 percent at the price of 175.00 and 4.45 shillings per share respectively.
Top Movers
Equity Group carried the day as the top mover with 5.77 million shares followed by Safaricom PLC with 4.35 million shares.
Co-operative Bank of Kenya, Kenya Power and Lighting Company and Kenya Re-Insurance sold 2.15, 1.54 and 1.48 million shares respectively.
