Kenya’s Largest Law Firm Hamilton Harrison & Mathews Strikes a Deal with World’s Giant Dentons

Hamilton Harrison & Mathews Advocates (HH&M), has entered into an agreement with Denton, the world’s largest law firm, to combine forces for better legal service to both local and international clients.

The merger will place Hamilton Harrison & Mathews Advocates (HH&M) in a unique position to cater for the needs in East Africa and around the world.

Denton’s suite of services, the experience, and global presence in more than 73 countries will significantly give HH&M better access to clients in Kenya and beyond. The law firm is  well conversed with ideal credentials relevant to most African legal landscapes as well as growth areas and opportunities.

The two law giants have been associated with each other for more than 10 years and have built on that relationship to enable and Dentons’ to connect their respective talents and opportunities.

Some of the key areas that HH&M prides itself in include Banking and Finance, Corporate, Dispute Resolution, Real Estate and TMT (Telecommunications, Media, and Technology) sectors.

The firm has continuously been rated as a top-tier firm in Kenya by many clients and international legal directories.

The Chambers Global, a global ranking service for lawyers and law firms ranked HH&M at Band 1 in the Dispute Resolution, Employment and Real Estate Sectors, and Band 2 in the Corporate/Commercial and Banking and Finance Sectors. Lawyers are ranked in bands 1-6 with Band 1 as the best. The ranking assesses technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by the clients.

Dentons has offices in Casablanca, Morocco, and Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa, as well as Uganda. It traces its presence in Africa to the establishment of an office in Cairo, Egypt, circa 1964.  Working with HH&M will further allow Dentons to pursue its Africa strategy to become a pan-African law firm.
