LG Electronics Earns CES 2018 Best TV Product Honors

Earlier this year, LG Electronics (LG) was honored with more than 90 awards at CES® 2018, led by the Official CES Best TV Product Award for the fourth consecutive year, this time for the new LG AI-enabled OLED TV (model C8). LG also earned numerous best-of-show honors for the W8 series, but also for the LG LG 4K UHD Projector.
LG received top accolades from Engadget, The Verge, Digital Trends, Mashable, SlashGear, TechRadar, Pocket-lint, T3, Stuff Magazine and others in addition to 19 CES Innovation Awards from the Consumer Technology Association – including the Best of Innovation Award for the LG 4K UHD Projector – across home appliance, home entertainment and mobile communications categories.
LG’s 2018 innovations unveiled at CES includes home entertainment products with LG ThinQ AI featuring the first TVs with the Google Assistant built-in, most notably the LG SIGNATURE AI OLED TV W8 featuring ThinQ which won more than 10 awards at CES. The unveiling of 2018 OLED TVs was led by LG Signature OLED TV W8. The new model 77W8 received the 2018 CES Innovation Awards Honoree in the Visual Displays category; while 65W8 received the same for Digital Imaging Category.
LG AI-enabled OLED W8 features picture-on-wall, LG ThinQ® AI capabilities, and LG’s new α9 Intelligent Processor. The technology α-9 (Alpha 9) Intelligent Processor is exclusive to LG and essentially boosts performance and color accuracy in OLED TV category.
The new LG AI-enabled OLED TV C8 model also received top recognition, CES Best TV product Award at CES 2018. The C8 series also comes with ThinQ® AI capabilities and LG’s α9 Intelligent Processor.
The revolutionary new α (Alpha) 9 Intelligent Processor enhances image rendering performance of the company’s flagship LG AI-enabled OLED TVs. LG’S α-9 (Alpha 9) Intelligent Processor was awarded the CES Innovation Award Honoree for Embedded Technologies. LG Alpha 9 processor and ThinQ technology which was first showcased at the 2018 CES show gave a glimpse of the advanced trends and top-notch technologies pioneered by LG Electronics. The α9 Intelligent Processor is applied on the series: OLED W8, G8, E8 and C8.
In addition to the OLED TVs, LG also unveiled advanced Super UHD TVs with ThinQ® AI capabilities and Nano Cell technology. The LG Super UHD TV 65SK9500 was awarded the CES 2018 Innovation Award for Smart Home.
LG’s 2018 SK9500 Super UHD TV offers LG’s most advanced LCD picture quality ever by combining Nano Cell, Full-Array Local Dimming (FALD) backlighting and the α (Alpha) 7 processor. LG’s SK9000 LG Super UHD TVs also offers similar features as SK95000.
