T-kash is Here, How Do You Register for it?

Telkom Kenya launched T-kash, a mobile platform that allows you to send, receive, and withdraw money across the country. The new service also enables its users to pay their bills easily and conveniently. T-kash is the perfect the financial solution you have been looking for.

But now that it is here, some are still wondering how to go about to use T-kash. It starts with registration, which is simple. Telkom already signed up more than 20,000 agents to facilitate transactions of its subscribers. These agents can help you register in only a few steps.

Registration is done only by the authorized T-kash agents.  What you need is either of the following:

• Kenyan national ID.
• A valid passport.
• Or an alien ID.

The next thing you should do is to provide the agent your Telkom Kenya Mobile number. He or she will then assist you in filling the Customer Registration form with the correct details. Fully filled, the agent with retain a copy of the identification document and the duly filled registration form.

The agent will register your number with T-kash and within a few seconds, you will get a confirmation SMS.

Before using the T-kash service, you will need to activate the account. Like the registration process, activation takes no more than a minute. Here are the quick steps:

• Navigate to your phone’s Sim Toolkit to get to your T-kash Menu.
• Select the ‘Activate’ option
• It will prompt for your ID. Enter the identification document number – The one you used during the registration.
• Fill the details of your Date of Birth – in the format DDMMYYYY.
• Come up with a secret PIN and enter it as the New PIN.
• Re-enter the New Pin again
• Confirm the details
• You will get a confirmation SMS from T-kash and you are good to go!
