Government Extends Ban on Logging for Six Months

The government, through the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, has extended the ban on logging for six more months.
According to a statement issued by Environment CS Keriako Tobiko, the extension is to allow the “appointment of new Board of KFS and the Interim Implementation Committee to be finalized and to undertake immediate measures to streamline the operations of KFS and the management of forestry sector.”
