Market Turnover Increases Marginally By 1.50% on Monday

The market turnover at the bourse increased by 1.50 percent to USD 7.44 million or an equivalent to 746.9 million shillings from Friday’s trading.

The NSE 20 gained 0.32 percent to close at 3,725.06 while NASI gained 0.03 percent to close at 179.53.

Foreign investors assumed a net selling position by accounting for 68.59 percent of total market sales and 53.22 percent of total market purchases.

The Kenyan shilling slightly weakened against the US Dollar but strengthened against the Sterling Pound and the Euro.

Against the US Dollar, the shilling weakened by 0.03 percent from Friday’s level to 100.36 shillings to the dollar.

Against the Sterling Pound, the Kenyan Shilling strengthened 1.40 percent from Friday’s level to 138.31 shillings to the pound.

Against the Euro, the Kenya Shilling strengthened 0.71 percent from Friday’s level to 121.33.
