Spring Onions Retailing Highest in Kitale Compared to Other Towns

Kitale traders are reaping big from the sale of a 142-kilogram bag of Spring Onions which is retailing at 3,600 shillings compared traders in Eldoret who are selling the same quantity at 1,000 shillings.

With Embu having the highest market price for Spring Onions, other towns are selling the commodity as follows: 3,500 shillings in Mombasa, and Kakamega respectively, 2,500 shillings in Nairobi and Kisumu respectively, 2,070 shillings in Embu and 1,400 shillings in Eldoret.

A 138-kilogram bag of carrots, on the other hand, is retailing as follows: 5,600 shillings in Kitale, 4,250 shillings in Mombasa, 3,450 shillings in Nairobi, 3,280 shillings in Embu, 3,000 shillings in Kisumu, Kakamega and Nakuru respectively and 1,600 shillings in Eldoret.

A 90-kilogram bag of Fresh cassava is being sold highest in Nairobi at 3,200 shillings and lowest in Kakamega at 2,500 shillings.

A 98-kilogram bag of Sweet Potatoes is retailing as follows in selected towns: 3,200 shillings in Nairobi, 3,000 shillings in Kisumu, 2,900 shillings in Mombasa, 2,600 shillings in Embu and 2,000 shillings in Kakamega and Kitale respectively:
