Telkom, DStv to Offer Mobile Internet Bundle During World Cup Season

Kenyans are set to enjoy added value this World Cup Season with the introduction of the DStv Football bundle through a partnership between Telkom Kenya and DStv.

Telkom customers with a valid DStv subscription will be able to enjoy the 2018 World Cup action by simply downloading the DStv Now App onto their mobile devices and thereafter purchasing one of two DStv Football Bundles on offer: 4GB at 49 shillings and 10GB at 999 shillings.

MultiChoice Kenya Managing Director, Eric Odipo said that they continue listening to their customers in order to understand their changing needs, adding that mobility was the most important thing.

“We understand that Internet has become a basic necessity for doing business and interacting with other people socially. At such a time as this, with the FIFA World Cup upon us, a partnership with Telkom is most opportune towards improving our customer experience during this football season,” said Eric Odipo.

Telkom Kenya’s Chief Executive Officer, Aldo Mareuse, on the other hand, reiterated Telkom’s commitment to providing innovative solutions to customers and consistently giving them the best value.

“The Internet bundle will allow our customers more flexibility to watch the games from any location, taking into account that Kenya and Russia are in the same time zone and some matches may be played while fans here in Kenya are en route to work, school and any other destination,” said Mareuse.

Mareuse noted that currently, Kenya has over 90.4 percent mobile Internet penetration according to the Communications Authority’s latest Quarterly statistics report which brings together the convenience of the Internet and audio-visual content via DStv, will add to a better customer experience this World Cup season.
