“Go To Hell!” Najib Balala Tells Kenyans

A few days after the mysterious death of 11 critically endangered black rhinos, Tourism CS Najib Balala has told Kenyans calling for his resignation to ‘GO TO HELL.’

Speaking to the media in Mombasa, Balala said that he is only accountable to President Uhuru Kenyatta who ‘appointed’ and he owes no any other person an explanation.

Kenyans were infuriated by the arrogance of Balala and are now calling on President Uhuru Kenyatta to fire him with immediate effect.

CS Balala seems to be ignorant of who he is serving. According to him, he is not serving Kenyans but President Uhuru Kenyatta. According to him, his salary doesn’t come from the Kenyan taxpayer but from the pockets of President Uhuru Kenyatta. According to him, we belong to HELL and have no mandate to question him.

Najib Balala seems to be aloof, the same way he was aloof during the ‘murder’ of 11 black rhinos, about Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya. I would like to remind him.

Article 73 (1) states that “authority assigned to a state officer – (a) is a public trust to be exercised in a manner that – (i) is consistent with the purpose and objects of the constitution, (ii) demonstrates respect for the people, (iii) brings honor to the nation and dignity to the office.”

Article 73 (1) (b) goes on to say that ‘Authority assigned to a state officer – vests in the state officer the responsibility to serve the people rather than the power to rule them.”

It is clear that Najib Balala has gone against what the constitution states. He said it himself that he is only accountable to President Uhuru Kenyatta. There is nowhere in the constitution where it is stated that way. Let me also take Balala through article 75:

Article 75 (1) (c) states that “A state officer shall behave, whether in public and official life, in private life, or in association with other persons, in a manner that avoids – demeaning the office the officer holds.”

As we go to HELL, let President Uhuru Kenyatta act. Let him know that we know the constitution and we want him to put Balala in his rightful place.
