7 Things You Need to Drop In Order to Succeed

There are many wise sayings about success. Many people have gone a step further to give a formula for success. Some just say that success cannot be defined.

Success is what you do repeatedly towards a certain goal. Success is not always an event. It is a habit. Success can either have positive results or negative results depending on what you intended to achieve in the beginning.

Success is like a journey. Along the journey of success, there are the do’s and the don’ts that one has to adhere to in order to see it to the end.

The following are some of the baggage that you MUST drop along the path of success in order to succeed:

Toxic people: there are people who will never want you to move on. They will always want you to remain where they are or even lower than where they are. These people need not be enemies. In most cases, there people so close and so dear to us. At all costs, avoid people who always seem not to want you to move on. Remember, those who have failed, will always be the first one to tell you how.

Need to be liked: the shortest way to failure is to always want to be liked by everyone. This can never happen. No matter what you do, however good it is, there will always be someone who will not like it. Wanting to always be liked is a waste of your precious time.

Need to control everything: you cannot control everything around you. To succeed, you need to have a goal with all the energy channeled towards that goal. Controlling everything will only work in earning you more enemies and keeping you busy mending fences other than moving on.

Need to be perfect: nobody is ever perfect, even the holy books have categorically stated this. Be the best you can be so that even if you don’t hit your target, you will sit back and say, ‘I did my best.’

Overnight success: there is nothing like ‘sleeping poor and waking up rich.’ There is no overnight success. It may work for gamblers but not always. Just work and stop dreaming.

Small play: this is about thinking. You just have to ‘think big’ if you have to succeed.

Unhealthy lifestyles: just avoid unhealthy lifestyles. It is as simple as that.
