Longhorn Kenya Top Gainer Followed By Umeme as Deacons Tails

Top Gainers

The top gainer at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday was Longhorn Kenya with 8.43 percent at the price of 4.50 shillings per share.

Umeme was the second top gainer with 5.82 percent at the price of 10.00 shillings per share followed by Sasini Tea and Coffee with 4.82 percent at the price of 21.75 shillings per share.

Nairobi Business Ventures and Kenya Re-Insurance gained 2.70 and 2.48 percent at the price of 1.90 and 16.50 shillings per share respectively.

Top Losers

Deacons (East Africa) was the top loser of the day with 9.09 percent at the price of 1.00 shillings per share.

Home Afrika and Mumias Sugar Company lost 6.67 percent each at the price of 0.70 shillings per share each.

TPS Eastern Africa (Serena) and Centum Investment Company lost 2.91 and 2.88 percent at the price of 25.00 and 33.75 shillings per share respectively.

Top Movers

Safaricom PLC was the top mover of the day having sold 6.42 million shares followed by WPP ScanGroup who sold 4.00 million shillings.

Barclays Bank Kenya and Co-operative Bank of Kenya sold 2.82 and 1.84 million shares respectively while Equity Group sold 1.27 million shares.
