Safaricom PLC was the top mover of the day after selling 4.55 million shares at the NSE on Wednesday with a market capitalization of 1.12 trillion.
WPP ScanGroup sold 2.96 million shares followed by Equity Group who sold 2.17 million shares with a market capitalization of 7.13 and 184.91 billion respectively.
Mumias Sugar Company and Kenya Electricity Generating Company sold 841,200 and 693,500 shares respectively.
The top gainer of the day was Carbacid Investments with 9.09 percent at the price of 12.00 shillings per share tying at the same position with Standard Group at the price of 28.00 shillings per share.
Sameer Africa and Longhorn Kenya gained 7.14 and 6.98 percent at the price of 3.00 and 4.60 shillings per share respectively.
Total Kenya gained 6.67 percent at the price of 32.00 shillings per share.
Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT was the top loser of the day with 9.48 percent at the price of 10.50 shillings per share.
TPS Eastern Africa (Serena) and Uchumi Supermarket lost 6.67 and 6.25 percent at the price of 28.00 and 1.50 shillings per share respectively.
Liberty Kenya and Trans-Century lost 6.13 and 5.25 percent at the price of 12.25 and 3.60 shillings per share respectively.
