Commodity Watch: A Look At The Price of Finger Millet, Maize, Sorghum and Legumes

The market prices for a 90-kilogram bag of Finger Millet have slightly increased across all towns with the average market price being 7,129 shillings.

A 90-kilogram bag of Finger Millet is being sold at 9,000 shillings in Isiolo, 8,100 shillings in Eldoret, 7,500 shillings in Kisumu, 7,200 shillings in Nairobi and Mombasa respectively, 5,500 shillings in Kitale and 5,400 shillings in Nakuru.

A 90-kilogram bag of dry maize, on the other hand, is being sold at 2,700 shillings I Isiolo, 2,600 shillings in Kisumu, 2,200 shillings in Nairobi and Mombasa respectively, 1,800 shillings in Nakuru, 1,600 shillings in Eldoret and 1,500 shillings in Kitale.

A 90-kilogram bag of Njahi is being sold Highest in Eldoret at 11,700 shillings and lowest in Nakuru at 5,400 shillings. The average market price is 8,400 shillings across the country.

A 90-kilogram bag of Rosecoco Beans, on the other hand, is as follows in selected towns across the country: 7,650 shillings in Eldoret, 7,200 shillings in Nairobi, 6,300 shillings in Isiolo, 6,000 shillings in Kisumu, 5,400 shillings in Nakuru, 5,000 shillings in Kitale and 4,850 shillings in Mombasa.
