Diamond Trust Bank Gains 9.66 Percent To Emerge As Top Gainer at NSE

The top gainer of the day at the NSE was Diamond Trust Bank with 9.66 percent at the price of 159.00 shillings per share followed by Uchumi Supermarket with 7.69 percent at the price of 0.70 shillings per share.

Eveready East Africa, Home Afrika, and NIC Bank gained 7.41, 7.14 and 6.12 percent at the price of 1.45, 0.70 and 26.00 shillings per share respectively.

Kapchorua Tea Kenya was the top loser with 9.46 percent at the price of 67.00 shillings per share followed by Unga Group with a loss of 6.25 percent at the price of 37.50 shillings per share.

Total Kenya, Mumias Sugar Company and WPP ScanGroup lost 5.98, 5.88 and 5.36 percent at the price of 27.50, 0.80 and 13.25 shillings per share respectively.

The top mover’s position went to Kenya Power and Lighting Company who sold 14.48 million shares followed by Safaricom Plc with 9.83 million shares.

Kenya Commercial Bank, Equity Group and Mumias Sugar Company sold 1.47 million, 882,200 and 519,900 shares respectively.
