Shilling Shows Resilience Across Board on Thursday: This Is How The Exchange Rates Were

On Thursday, commercial banks in Kenya bought the US dollar at an average of 100.9261 shillings and sold it at 101.1261 shillings, further showing the resilience of the local currency.

Banks sold the Sterling Pound at 132.4844 shillings after buying it at an average of 132.1733 shillings. The Euro was bought at 116.0078 shillings and sold at 116.2633 shillings during the session on Thursday.

The South African Rand was bought at an average of 7.0521 shillings and sold at 7.0692 shillings. The shilling continued to shine against the Ugandan and the Tanzania shillings.

Banks bought the local currency at 37.1319 Ugandan shillings and sold it 37.3045 Ugandan shillings. 22.6747 Tanzanian shillings were enough to give one a Kenyan shilling and sold at 22.7493 Tanzanian shillings.

Commercial banks in Kenya bought the Kenyan shilling at 8.5352 Rwandan franc and sold it 8.7205 Rwandan franc.
