The meteorological department has reported that most parts of the Country will continue to receive moderate rainfall all the way past mid-December.
Nyeri, Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru, Kiambu, Tharaka Nithi, Laikipia and Nyandarua are among the counties mentioned and that already experienced showers on Monday morning.
The areas will, however, later experience sunny intervals in the afternoon after the rainy mornings. Other counties mentioned are Kakamega, Kisumu, Kisii, Kericho, Vihiga, Busia, Bungoma, Siaya, Homa Bay, Nandi, Boment, West Pokot, Elgeyo Marakwet, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia and Narok counties.
In Turkana and Samburu, it will be a rainy morning and a sunny afternoon. The capital city Nairobi will continue to experience morning showers at a minimal temperature of 16 degrees with sunny intervals of a maximum temperature of 25 degrees in the afternoon and more showers throughout the night.
Nakuru County will however experience sunny intervals throughout the day and light showers at night while Kisumu County will experience rains and sunny intervals in the morning and showers and Thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Whichever county one is in, it will be advisable to carry an umbrella with you to avoid drenching in the rains.
