Car and General (K) Tops the NSE as TPS Eastern Africa Tails

The top gainer of the day was Car and General (K) with 8.70 percent at the price of 25.00 shillings per share followed by Kenya Power and Lighting Company with a gain of 8.62 percent at the price of 5.42 shillings per share.

The East African Breweries, Co-operative Bank of Kenya and the National Bank gained 5.93, 5.92 and 5.36 percent at the price of 210.00, 16.10 and 5.50 shillings per share respectively.

TPS Eastern Africa (Serena) was the top loser of the day with 6.52 percent at the price of 21.50 shillings per share.

Home Africa and Mumias Sugar Company lost 5.71 and 3.23 percent at the price of 0.66 and 7.50 shillings per share respectively.

Umeme (which was the top gainer on Monday) and Jubilee Holdings lost 2.60 and 2.30 percent at the price of 7.50 and 425.00 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom remained as the top mover of the day having sold 7.80 million shares followed by Kenya Commercial Bank who sold 1.67 million shares.

Equity Group and Kenya Power and Lighting Company sold 1.45 and 1.19 million shares respectively while Mumias Sugar Company sold 706,400 shares.
