Hemingways Nairobi Emerges as Best Hotel in Kenya

Hemingways Nairobi has been rated as the best hotel in Kenya according to the latest ranking by global travel website Trip Advisor.

Hemingways Nairobi took the number one spot in three categories; top 10 Hotels – Kenya, top 10 Luxury Hotels – Kenya and top 10 Hotels for Service – Kenya.

It is also the only Kenyan based hotel featured in the Africa awards: top 25 Hotels – Africa where it took the 13^th position; top 25 Luxury Hotels – Africa where it came in 14^th and top 25 Hotels for Service – Africa securing position 23.

Hemingways Collection Operations Director Mr. Ross Evans termed the awards as the greatest vote of confidence for Nairobi City as a destination that offers visitors a guarantee for quality service and luxury travel.

“Being among the top hotels in Africa, especially in the luxury and service categories, reaffirms to the world that Nairobi is a world-class destination with hotels that match the quality that a luxury traveler expects to get anywhere in the globe and we aspire to win the top accolade in Africa in the future” said Mr. Ross Evans.

Since opening just over five years ago, the Karen-based hotel has featured highly in the coveted hotel rankings year-on-year, also uplifting its sister establishments – Hemingways Watamu and Ol Seki Hemingways Mara.

Mr. Evans added that the award gives confidence that the newly reopened Hemingways Watamu had the potential to dislodge other properties such as in Zanzibar and Mauritius from the list of top beachfront hotels in the region.

The 2019 Travelers’ Choice Awards is based on reviews and opinions from millions of ordinary travelers who rate facilities that they visited in the past year.
