HELB Loans: Requirements, Registration and How to Fill the Application Forms

By Virginia Mwangi / February 8, 2019

The Kenya Universities and College Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) portal is now open to 2018 KCSE candidates to choose their university and course of choice but there still is an obstacle to achieving that education, the money.

HELB loans Kenya (Higher Education Loans Board) is an organization that finances students through loans, bursaries and scholarships for training at public institutes, which are recognized by the Ministry of Education of Kenya.

The cost of learning in Kenyan Universities is way above the ability of a majority of households and great grades should not be allowed to go to waste when loans are easily accessed through HELB.

HELB loans are accessed on the platform’s online portal. Below is a breakdown of the process and requirements.
