Eclectics Payment Gateway Solution Partners with Okapi to Enhance Customer’s Experience

Eclectics Payment Gateway Solution is set to offer a bulk SMS and Airtime/Bill payments solution to Okapi Finance customers.

The move means Eclectics customers will in a way access Okapi services (card to card payment system) like moving money from MPesa to Okapi, From Okapi to Mpesa, from Visa card to visa card, buy insurance among others.

The company currently has roots in Kenya, Botswana, and Nigeria with DRC, Senegal, and Zimbabwe scheduled to launch in Q2 of 2019.

Okapi is a Swedish-based fintech company that launched in Kenya in November 2017 to facilitate money transfer and payments. Currently, it has more than 130,000 subscribers and aims at reaching 145 million subscribers in Africa within the next 10 years.

With the present partnership, Okapi customers will have access and buy or pay for the about 30 services going from airtime, TV subscription, water, Daily Parking, Seasonal Parking, Sacco Parking, House Rent, Land Rates, NHIF (individual) etc from the convenience of their homes.

This also gives Eclectics access to Okapi customers. This is a win/win partnership in Kenya but with an opportunity to extend to other countries (Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ghana and beyond) where both entities are operating.

The partnership came about from the need Okapi feels to provide its customers (especially the ones at the bottom of the pyramid) a convenient, easy and cheap way of access services they require for their daily lives.
