Top 10 Characters We Hate the Most in Game of Thrones

BY Soko Directory Team · April 16, 2019 10:04 am

Game of Thrones is back! The season finale of a TV series that’s glued us to our screens since it premiered in 2011. The first episode aired on April 14 and fans across the globe had been holding their breaths after a close to two years of waiting.

Although the one week wait between the episodes seems like an eternity, we have no alternative but to watch, not with the countless spoilers going viral on the internet taking the fun out of your 2-year long anticipation.

Nonetheless, as the craze goes on, I thought I could refresh your memory and look back at the most hated characters in the series since the first season. These are the characters that made me wish they be executed mercilessly; no kidding!

  1. Joffrey Baratheon

No offense Jack Gleeson, I hated you so much that I celebrated when you were eventually poisoned. One word described this king, a sociopath.

Joffrey Baratheon styled as Joffrey of Houses Baratheon and Lannister, the First of His Name, King of the Andals and the First MenLord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm was one hell of a character that pissed off the masses watching G.O.T.

He was a coward, a murderer (not in the way of surviving the wars but out of cowardice) infanticide, and an insolent, petulant little delinquent.

Joffrey Baratheon ordered the deaths of Robert’s infants so that there would be no one to challenge him. Half his time was spent hitting women or ordering others to hit them for him. Who does that? He also shoots others with his bow and arrow for fun!

Thank you for dying, and I sincerely thank those who killed him for escaping without being caught. That was a well-deserved death.

  1. Ramsay Snow (Bolton)

Iwan Rheon, the actor portraying Ramsay Bolton or Ramsay Snow was so good in Game of Thrones that I actually thought he is that evil in real life. He had the meanest looks and his sadistic brand of evil surpasses any other in the entire world.

I rarely get sentimental when I am watching a show but damn, I surely felt for Theon Greyjoy who suffered in the hands of Ramsay Bolton to an unimaginable extent. He does torture Greyjoy with glee, and in an unpleasant way. Apart from peeling his fingernails, he robbed poor Greyjoy’s nuts. He broke him so much that Theon Greyjoy transforms into a coward that we unknowingly knew we would hate.

He solidified his status as the most hated character, probably worse than Joffrey for some, by raping after raping Sansa Stark following their marriage. Well, what better way to end such a character than being handed a taste of his own medicine? Ramsay was eaten alive by his hounds.

  1. Cersei Lannister

Something about how Cersei Lannister, played by the phenomenal Lena Headey even in the first season of the series hints that she is not only evil but a despicable mastermind of some sort that we have to stomach for a damn long time.

There was a time I thought I’d see the end of her, but no! The cunning mother had her revenge in the deadliest way possible. To evade her trial, Cersei Lannister has the Great Sept of Baelor destroyed by wildfire shortly after the trial of Ser Loras Tyrell.

The wildfire wipes the main branch of House Tyrell, with the exception of Olenna Tyrell, as well as the High Sparrow, the High Septon of the Faith of the Seven; Ser Kevan Lannister, most of the members of the Royal Court; and the entirety of the Small Council save for Qyburn.

Even her murderous actions make little King Tommen I to kill himself by jumping out the window. Interestingly, she isn’t dead yet.

  1. Petyr Baelish (Little Finger)
