Top Gainers

The top 5 gainers of the day at the NSE on Monday were Kapchorua Tea Kenya, WPP ScanGroup, Bamburi Cement, Trans-Century and the East African Cables.

Kapchorua Tea Kenya gained 9.38 percent at the price of 70.00 shillings per share followed by WPP ScanGroup with 7.94 percent at the price of 18.35 shillings per share.

Bamburi Cement, Trans-Century and East African Cables gained 7.63, 7.49 and 7.00 percent at the price of 127.00, 3.30 and 2.60 shillings per share respectively.

Top Losers

The top losers’ table was ruled by the Standard Chartered Bank with a loss of 12.00 percent at the price of 187.00 shillings per share followed by Uchumi Supermarket with a loss of 9.76 percent at the price of 0.37 shillings per share.

Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT, Kenya Airways and BOC Kenya lost 9.19, 9.00 and 6.79 percent at the price of 8.50, 4.55 and 65.25 shillings per share respectively.

Top Movers

The top movers of the day were KCB Group, Safaricom, Co-operative Bank. Equity Group and Kenya Power and Lighting Company.

KCB Group sold 3.90 million shares followed by Safaricom and Co-operative Bank with 3.26 and 1.35 million shares respectively.

Equity Group moved 1.03 million shares while Kenya Power and Lighting Company sold 501,700 shares during the session.
