The NSE: Uchumi Supermarket Tails During the Session on Tuesday

Uchumi Supermarket was the top loser of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) with 9.09 percent at the price of 0.40 shillings per share.

Olympia Capital and East African Cables lost 8.00 and 7.85 percent at the price of 2.30 and 2.70 shillings per share respectively.

Eveready East Africa and Kenya Re-Insurance lost 7.41 and 4.95 percent at the price of 1.00 and 10.55 shillings per share.

Standard Group was the top gainer of the day with 8.13 percent at the price of 25.95 shillings per share followed by Williamson Tea Kenya with 3.76 percent at the price of 145.00 shillings per share.

Umeme, Centum Investments Company, and Safaricom gained 2.76, 1.40 and 1.10 percent at the price of 8.20, 32.50 and 27.60 shillings per share respectively.

The top mover of the day was Safaricom who sold 7.26 million shares followed by Kenya Power and Lighting with 955,700 shares.

Kenya Commercial Bank and Co-operative Bank sold 678,400 and 475,400 shares respectively while Equity Group sold 383,200 shares.
