Tuesday: Here are the Top 5 Movers, Gainers and Losers of the Day

The top 5 movers of the day at the NSE were; Equity Group, Safaricom, KCB Group, Kenya Electricity Generating Company and the Co-operative Bank of Kenya.

Equity Group sold 6.33 million shares during the session followed by Safaricom and KCB Group who sold 4.35 and 2.19 million shares respectively.

Kenya Electricity Generating Company and Co-operative Bank of Kenya sold 1.35 and 1.32 million shares respectively.

The top gainers’ table was dominated by Total Kenya, Car and General (K), CIC Insurance Group, Liberty Kenya and Mumias Sugar Company.

Total Kenya gained 7.22 percent at the price of 28.95 shillings per share followed by Car and General (K) who gained 5.49 percent at the price of 24.00 shillings per share.

CIC Insurance Group, Liberty Kenya and Mumias Sugar Company gained 3.45, 3.14 and 3.03 percent at the price of 3.60, 9.84 and 0.34 shillings per share respectively.

Those who carried the day as the top 5 losers were; Unga Group, Kenya Airways, Sameer Africa, Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT and Flame Tree Group.

Unga Group lost 10.00 percent at the price of 31.50 shillings per share followed by Kenya Airways with 8.68 percent at the price of 4.00 shillings per share.

Sameer Africa, Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT and Flame Tree Group gained 8.18, 5.44 and 5.04 percent at the price of 2.02, 8.00 and 2.45 shillings per share respectively.
