KejaMove, a Kenyan logistic company in home and office moving, has been selected to join Alibaba e-Founder Fellowship Program.

KejaMove offers local moving services, international moving and storage facilities by allowing customers to utilize their secure storage and warehousing facilities during home renovations, downsizing, or during a transitional between homes.

Other Kenyan startups selected to join the fellowship program include Tozzaplus, M-farm, Lipalater, cloud9xp among others. Previous founders that have joined the program include Teddy Warria of Africa’s Talking – Kenya, Angela Nzioki of Pluspeople Kenya, Derrick Muturi of Herdy among others.

The e-Founder Fellowship program provides first-hand exposure to e-commerce digital innovations, access to business leaders across Alibaba and China, as well as an opportunity to connect with like-minded, leading entrepreneurs in the region.

The program was created in 2017 to find and empower local entrepreneurs who can leverage Alibaba’s experience in China. The fellowship program creates a community of passionate and successful “Champions for the New Economy” while looking to inspire and create a more inclusive development model for all.

The e-Founder Fellowship program is jointly organized by Alibaba Business School and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) who are implementing the suitable Development Goals for 2030. In Africa, the program partners with 4DX Ventures, AfricInvest, Dalberg & Nailab.

The fellowship program enables the participants to understand the key factors in Alibaba’s long-term success, an understanding of Alibaba’s ecosystem and the defining moments and the failures that have shaped Alibaba. The entrepreneurs are chosen based on their authenticity, willingness to learn and share their experiences and ideas, their altruistic leadership and their goal to build enterprises for long-term success and not short-term.

The program will be held from May 11-23, 2019 for class 5 in Africa and from August 17-28, 2018 for class 7, in Africa as well. Class 7 is open to founders or co-founders of digital ventures from Algeria, Ethiopia, Ghana, Morocco, Nigeria, and Tunisia. Class 5 is open to entrepreneurs from Kenya, Botswana, Cameroon, Chad, Rwanda, and Uganda.
