Safaricom Sweeps the Top Movers’ Table at the NSE on Thursday

The top mover of the day during the trading sessions at the NSE was Safaricom who moved 7.89 million shares followed by Kenya Re-Insurance with 4.01 million shares.

Equity Group and KCB Group sold 2.01 and 1.71 million shares respectively while HF Group sold 1.04 million shares.

Barclays Bank closed the day in the red after emerging as the top loser of the day with 11.67 percent at the price of 10.60 shillings per share followed by BOC Kenya with 9.82 percent at the price of 62.00 shillings per share.

Eaagads, Mumias Sugar Company, and Kapchorua Tea Kenya lost 9.09, 8.33 and 5.88 percent at the price of 12.50, 0.33 and 64.00 shillings per share respectively.

Eveready East Africa was the top gainer of the day with 9.89 percent at the price of 1.00 shillings per share followed by Safaricom with 5.86 percent at the price of 29.80 shillings per share.

Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT and Total Kenya gained 5.81 and 5.65 percent at the price of 9.10 and 29.00 shillings per share respectively while Nation Media Group gained 4.98 percent at the price of 58.00 shillings per share.
