Kapchorua Tea Kenya Beats Sameer Africa to Dominate the Top Gainer’s Position

Kapchorua Tea Kenya edged out Sameer Africa from the top gainer’s position at the Nairobi Securities Exchange on Wednesday. Kapchorua Tea Kenya gained 4.44 percent at the price of 94.00 shillings per share.

Crowne Berger and Sameer Africa gained 4.31 and 4.17 percent at the price of 84.75 and 3.50 shillings per share respectively.

Kenya Airways and Britam Holdings gained 4.03 and 4.00 percent at the price of 4.90 and 7.80 shillings per share respectively.

The top 5 losers of the day were Trans-Century, Mumias Sugar Company, Uchumi Supermarket, Liberty Kenya and Longhorn Publishers.

Trans-Century and Mumias Sugar Company lost 10.00 and 7.89 at the price of 3.60 and 0.35 shillings per share respectively.

Uchumi Supermarket, Liberty Kenya and Longhorn Publishers lost 7.32, 4.55 and 2.68 percent at the price of 0.38, 10.50 and 8.00 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom maintained her position as the top mover of the day with 8.95 million shares followed by KCB Group and Equity Group with 8.04 and 3.72 million shares respectively.

Co-operative Bank and NIC Group sold 1.75 million and 590,800 shares respectively.
