KNBS Releases Schedule for Shortlisting and Interviewing of Census Applicants

The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) has released the dates for recruitment for successful applicants of the August census jobs.

The schedules contain details including completion of shortlisting, contacting of shortlisted applicants, interview dates, submission of a copy of successful candidates after interview and training dates of enumerators, ICT supervisors, and content supervisors.

In the latest schedule, the shortlisting of ICT supervisors should have been completed by as early as 28^th June for interviews to be conducted from 5^th to 7^th of July.

After the ICT supervisors’ interview, successful candidates will be contacted on July 11 and expected to begin training as from July 25 to July 31.

Content supervisors shortlisting is supposed to have ended by 29^th to 30^th June. Successful candidates for the positions should have been called to be invited for interviews on 1^st and 2^nd of July.

Interviews for the same position will be conducted as from July 8 to July 10 where successful candidates will go for training from 4^th to 10^th August.

Shortlisting of enumerators began on July 1 and is expected to on July 4, after which shortlisted candidates will be contacted on 5^th to 7th July.

Interviews will be done from 12^th to 14^th July. Those who make it will be contacted on 18^th July to be invited for training starting 14^th to 20^th August.

In a memo by KNBS, applications for enumerators are to be collected at the Assistant Chief’s office where applicants were also to fill a register and a summary form.

“The Assistant Chiefs will then do their remarks at the space provided in the summary form and forward all the summary forms to the Chief with a covering letter. The chief will then forward them to the Assistant County Commissioner (ACC) who will then undertake the recruitment,” read the memo.
