Co-operative Bank Rules the Top Mover’s Table at the NSE

The Co-operative Bank of Kenya was the top mover of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) after selling 4.42 million shares with a market capitalization of 73.05 billion shillings.

Safaricom was the second top mover of the day with a volume of 2.83 million shares at a market capitalization of 1.10 trillion shillings.

Equity Group, CIC Insurance Group, and Mumias Sugar Company sold 597,700, and 541,200, and 352,300 shares respectively.

Kapchorua Tea Kenya was the top loser of the day with 9.76 percent at the price of 74.00 shillings per share followed by Trans-Century with 9.64 percent at the price of 3.00 shillings per share.

Kenya Re-Insurance, HF Group, and Home Afrika lost 9.09, 9.04 and 6.78 percent at the price of 3.10, 3.52 and 0.55 shillings per share respectively.

The top gainer of the day was the East African Cables with 17.41 percent (the highest this week) at the price of 2.90 shillings per share.

WPP ScanGroup and Nairobi Securities Exchange gained 9.36 and 7.14 percent at the price of 12.85 and 12.00 shillings per share respectively.

Britam Holdings and Flame Tree Group gained 6.85 and 4.90 percent at the price of 7.80 and 3.00 shillings per share respectively.
