Uganda’s Umeme Kicks off the Week as the Top Gainer of The Day

The top gainer of the day was Umeme with 8.29 percent at the price of 8.10 shillings per share followed by Uchumi Supermarket with 5.71 percent at the price of 0.37 shillings per share.

Kenya Re-Insurance, Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT and Home Afrika gained 5.57, 4.92 and 3.85 percent at the price of 3.60, 8.96 and 0.54 shillings per share respectively.

The top loser of the day was East African Cables with 7.00 percent at the price of 2.26 shillings per share followed by Kenya Airways with 4.76 percent at the price of 2.26 shillings per share.

Britam Holdings, Carbacid Investments, and HF Group lost 4.34, 4.19 and 3.94 percent at the price of 7.50, 8.70 and 3.90 shillings per share respectively.

Equity Group started off the week as the top mover of the day with 1.67 million shares followed by Safaricom with 1.62 million shares.

KCB Group sold 958,300 shares while Kenya Airways and East African Breweries sold 365,100 and 259,400 shares respectively.
