White Irish Potatoes Retailing at an Average of Ksh 1,600 Across Markets

A 50 kg bag of White Irish Potatoes is retailing at an average market price of 1,633 shillings with Nakuru recording the lowest price of 1,500 shillings.

In Nairobi and Eldoret, White Irish Potatoes are retailing at 1,800 and 1,600 shillings respectively for a 50 kg bag.

For Red Irish potatoes, the average market price is 1,700 with prices in Nairobi and Eldoret being 1,600 and 1,800 shillings respectively per 50 Kgs.

The table below gives a summary of market prices for different commodities:

Fresh peas are being sold at an average price of 2,313 shillings, with Nakuru having the highest market price of 2,500 shillings for a 51 Kg bag.

Cowpeas, on the other hand, are retailing at 8,550 shillings in Nairobi, 8,100 shillings in Nakuru and 7,650 shillings in Eldoret for a 90 Kg bag.

Cabbages are retailing at 1,400 shillings in Nairobi and 1,200 shillings in both Nakuru and Eldoret for a 126 Kg bag.

Cauliflower and Lettuce are both being sold at 2,300 shillings in Nairobi, a bag.
