The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) on Tuesday, 5th of November 2019, announced that it would be closing a part of Southern bypass at Lang’ata NHC flyover.

The roads authority announced through a publication on the local dailies saying the closure of the Bypass would take effect from Saturday, 9th of November 2019 to Tuesday, 12th November 2019.

The closure of the Bypass at the Lang’ata NHC has been necessitated by the installation of beams on the ongoing construction meant to link Lang’ata to Ngong’ road.

Southern Bypass is a dual carriageway that passes Lang’ata at the NHC flyover and motorists who use the route will be required to seek alternative ways depending on their direction.

The Southern Bypass road will be closed at the Lang’ata NHC flyover from 12:00 pm to 6:00 am on the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th of November 2019.

The services lanes of the Southern Bypass will remain open throughout to enable free flow of traffic with the help of traffic officers who will be on-site to assist.
