50 Kenyan Tweeps Who Shaped Conversations on Twitter In 2019

Twitter Tweeps

Twitter, and more specifically, Kenyan Twitter, is an interesting place, a place where key influential tweeps and even the smallest of individuals can get their voice heard.

It’s a space where we can joke and have serious conversations all in one place.

Someone once joked that Twitter is the only place where a professor will argue with someone seated in their bedsitter. “Enyewe social media imetufanya vichwa ngumu! You can argue with a Top World Economist from your bedsitter in Wangige! 😜” read the tweet.

Nonetheless, when it comes to serious business such as matters affecting the economy, Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) don’t joke.

KOT will analyse anything a politician, leader or anyone in the limelight will say or do, make a trend out of it, come up with memes, both positively and negatively.

KOT is also famous for uniting Kenyans on the social media platform and waging war against other twitter users from other countries.

Kenyans have waged war against South Africans, Ugandans, Rwandans, Tanzanians, Ghana, Nigeria, just to name a few.

2019 has been an eventful year with all sorts of trends and conversations on Twitter.

These conversations and trends would not have been possible had it not been for these influential persons, or as we like to call them, tweeps, on Twitter either sparking, engaging and retweeting conversations.
