Co-op Bank Scraps Balance Enquiry Charges Empowering Financial Control

The announcement by Cooperative bank to scrap off the charges incurred whenever their customer inquiries balance using a mobile phone or using the Mcoop cash app could not have come at better timing going by the fact that the festive season has kicked in.

“Dear Customers, we’ve heard from you. We’re with immediate effect scrapping the balance inquiry charge. Keep talking to us, it can only make us better,” Cooperative Bank said in a statement.

Cooperative bank customers have lauded the bank for the move saying they appreciate the lack of greed in the bank as even though the charges used to pain them, they stuck with the bank as they are continually assured of the safety of their finances.

The Co-operative Bank takes pride in 89 percent of transactions done via mobile phones which have seen the bank contract 24-hour contact center to ensure their customers can use their banking services at the comfort of their palms.

“When it comes to financial matters, the lessons are endless. Pay attention to even the smallest piece of good monetary advice that’s shared with you. It may come through when you least expect it,” Cooperative Banknotes on their Twitter handle.

The news of Cooperative Bank scrapping their balance inquiry charges is also most welcomed by individuals who are paid via direct money transfers as they can now check their balance to tell whether they have been paid without worrying about accumulating service charges.
