The year 2020 is here with us, a new beginning to a fresh 365 days or rather 12 months, how each one starts the year significantly reflects on how they end it.

As young as teenagehood, it is important to live a purposeful life lest one approaches 40 years and falls into depression when the reality of all the wasted years’ hits.

As you prepare to usher in a new year, the year 2020, we wish you the very best and share with you a few pointers of how to experience a positive beginning with the year :

Pursue a Purpose

I am neither a preacher nor a motivational speaker, both of which I wouldn’t mind, but if you have spent your last years of life without setting goals then it’s time for a change.

Don’t walk the whole 12 months of the year 2020 without a specific goal you are working towards.

In the incoming year 2020, start a project such a construction, buy a car, pay some school fees even for just a needy child, start some side hustle.

Do SOMETHING and keep momentum throughout the year 2020!

Talk Smart, People Have Feelings

Words have a way of wounding people permanently, think before opening your mouth this 2020.

Who you are talking to, where you are talking and when you are talking should closely guide mature civil conversations, exercise them this 2020.

When not sure of what to say, choose silence, it is likely to keep you off most fights and drama in 2020.

Choose Your Friends Wisely

This 2020, walk with people whom you can emulate from, inspire positivity and growth in you in all circles of life.

Learn to be Assertive

If you have been the kind that is quietly shattering under peer pressure and bullies who pretend to be friends, well, try the power of simply saying No and not explaining this 2020.

Don’t Enslave Yourself, Have a Life

One lesson the great men and women that have gone ahead of us teaches us is to Live, have a life outside your work this 2020.

Stop imagining that company or organization will crush in your absence, you are not as important as you think, take time off this 2020.

Create time for those you truly care for and those that honestly care for you, go for medical check-ups, visit your family, visit gardens or the beach and appreciate nature this 2020.

Reconnect With the Less Privileged

Being with those lack in one way or the other funnily helps one appreciate what they have and going a step further to assist them leaves one fulfilled.

Visit old people’s homes, children orphanages and children in need of special care, make them feel wanted and loved, it will do you most good.

Keep Off Crowd Thinking

Individuals and organizations shatter because of negative crowd thinking, learn to be an individual when it comes to decisions.

Is it okay with you, if yes, then go for it, if it is not then don’t go for it, irrespective of what others feel or think?

Have a Spiritual Life

In 2020, be more grateful, prayerful and stay humble knowing things don’t just happen, they happen for a good reason.

Appreciate More

There is a lot of power in gratitude, ‘Thank you’, should leave your lips more often in 2020.

When you learn to appreciate, by both words and actions, more come through

Human beings excel most when appreciated and encouraged not threatened or manipulated, mend your ways and more shall flow in 2020.

Invest more, save less, spend less.

Put your money into investment ventures, buy T-bills, buy shares, buy fixed deposits, import some goods and sell, be a stockbroker.

Do not put all your eggs in one basket, invest wisely.
