School Principal Sentenced To 10 Years For Rape
A now-former Principal at Habaswein mixed secondary School in Wajir County, Idle Abdi Haret, has been sentenced to serve 10 years in Prison.
The Principal, Idle Abdi Heret was charged with raping an 18-year-old girl who sat her KCSE candidate in the year 2018.
Principal Heret was accused of raping the student in his car after he offered to drive her to her home in Habaswein town.
Principal Heret was charged with raping the then-candidate on the Saturday of 3rd November 2018 at around 3 pm in Habaswein town.
The 18-year-old rape victim had earlier reported that she lost consciousness after she accepted the lift and two hours later found herself dumped near a borehole within the township.
Justice for the KCSE candidate 2018 was served around a year since the rape incident was reported to authorities.
