A breakthrough in the research of cancer treatment has been made with scientists discovering a new type of cell that can not only kill cancer cells but can also recognize them.

The cancer treatment has been discovered by researchers at Cardiff University in the United Kingdom (UK).

The new cancer treatment which is yet to experiment on a human being has raised hopes for cancer patients and the World at large as if you are not infected then you are definitely affected.

The new type of cancer treatment discovered by Cardiff University in the new study involves the discovery of a new type of immune cells called T-cell and can be used to treat a wide range of cancers unlike the treatments availed currently.

The newly discovered cancer treatment dubbed ‘T-Cell’ has been found to kill skin, blood, colon, breast, bone, prostate, lung, cervical, ovarian and Kidney cancers through human cells and mice in the laboratory.

If you have lost a loved one to cancer, be it a friend, colleague or relative then you understand the kind of hope the news of a new treatment brings with people all over the World living under constant fear of the disease.

Cancer treatment has for many years kept scientists busy as the rest of the World mourn and dread the disease whose treatment will cost one an arm and a leg and most often still result in death.

“We’re the first to describe a T-cell that finds MR1 in cancer cells…that hasn’t been done before, this is the first of its kind,” Cardiff University Research Garry Dolton said in an interview with the BBC.

Cancer has become the leading cause of illness and death globally, and especially in Kenya, with as many as 133 people being diagnosed every day, as the scourge of cancer grows in the country.

Kenya has lost rich, medium-income earners and poor Kenyans to various types of cancers with 2019 alone with examples of public personalities such as Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore, Governor Joyce Laboso and MP Ken Okoth.

It can only be hoped that the newly discovered cancer treatment will bring a cure to cancer patients and will not be corrupted for selfish gains or be made cow cash making it unaffordable in Africa.
