China Southern Airline Quarantined At JKIA Over Coronavirus

BY Juma · February 5, 2020 02:02 pm

A China Southern Airlines plane has been quarantined at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport after it landed from China over fears that those on board might have been infected by the deadly Coronavirus.

The plane landed at JKIA at around 7:45 in the morning on Wednesday 5, February 2020 and was immediately directed to park away from other planes and passengers over fears of Coronavirus.

No passenger or crew member was allowed to leave the plane until 9:30 am as health experts carry out tests to find out whether the people on the plane are carrying the deadly Coronavirus.

What has shocked Kenyans, however, is how the Kenyan Government managed to suspend flights by Kenya Airways to China but still allowed other airlines from China to land and take off from JKIA at will.

The Coronavirus has so far killed 500 people and more 12,000 infected and around 7,000 in critical condition.
