Prince Charles, the Queen’s son and Britain’s first in line to the throne has tested positive for coronavirus and the palace has no idea how he got infected.
The 71-year-old Prince is showing mild symptoms but remains in stable condition according to the Clarence House.
“The Prince of Wales has tested positive for Coronavirus,” the Clarence House announced adding that the Prince has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health.
Prince Charles has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual according to the Clarence House.
Prince Charles’wife Camilla who is 72 years of age has tested negative for coronavirus which has since led to the elderly royal couple being placed in isolation in Birkhall at Balmoral, Scotland.
Six members of staff at Prince Charles’ quarters have since been placed on isolation.
“In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland,” the Clarence House announced.
The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing according to the Clarence House
“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks,” the Clarence House announced.
It is however remembered that Prince Charles had earlier met with Prince Albert of Monaco earlier this month and Prince Albert already tested positive for coronavirus.
The Buckingham Palace has noted that Her Majesty remains in good health and last saw her son Charles on 12th March 2020.
Prince Charles had also attended the Australian bushfire relief event on 12th March 2020.
Prince Charles was avoiding to shake hands and instead was preferring the namaste greeting in the wake of coronavirus.
