Nakuru based Menengai Oil Refineries Limited (M.O.R.L) has donated a total of one thousand four hundred (1,600) cartons of Menengai Cream soap and Kibuyu Bar Soap to the Kenya Red Cross and Nakuru County government.

This initiative shall be spearheaded by M.O.R.L’s Head of Marketing, Simpson Osiemo, Kenya Red Cross Deputy Secretary-General, Annette Msabeni, and Nakuru County Government’s Health County Officer Mr. Samuel Kingóri

This is to help complement the efforts by Kenya Red Cross to curb the spread if the Covid-19 pandemic and specifically in low-income areas as well as the vulnerable people across the country.

Covid-19 is a global threat and should not be left to the national and county governments to handle it alone. We as MORL shall endeavor to engage in partnerships that make an impact in the lives of ordinary people in the society.

It has been medically proven that one of the ways to prevent oneself from getting the coronavirus is by thoroughly washing hands with soap and water. With this in mind, we at Menengai Oil Refineries Limited have seen fit to donate our soap to Redcross for distribution to our fellow Kenyans.
