COVID-19 Cases Rise To 363 After Kenya Has Recorded 8 New Cases

Eight more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours raising the number of confirmed cases in Kenya to 363 according to the health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe.

CS Kagwe has announced the days COVID-19 updates in Kenya earlier than has been usual at around 3 pm at a press briefing at Afya House.

The eight new cases were evenly distributed between Nairobi and Mombasa with four each with CS Kagwe adding that all of those who have tested positive are Kenyans.

CS Kagwe has also revealed that eight more have been discharged after testing negative for COVID-19 twice raising the number of confirmed recoveries to 114 and the number of fatalities to fourteen (14).

CS Kagwe has asked Kenyans to practice self-discipline and self-responsibility to help curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus saying, “Kenya’s situation will unravel itself because of you. If we take responsibility as individuals then we will fight this virus.

“It has brought the cost of health care, cases of stomach problems have gone down drastically, Cases of diarrhea have also declined,” CS Kagwe said noting that Kenyans have begun to adhere to the rules and regulations set down by the government on the hygiene side but have a long way to go in matters social distancing and adhering to the curfew.
