Top news anchor Richard Quest has revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend though he feels healthy and has no intention of leaving his job abruptly.
Richard Quest is widely known for his show ‘Quest Means Business’ said he felt blessed in that he only had a few symptoms of COVID-19.
“I have caught COVID-19. I am blessed in that I have a few symptoms, just a cough. I am saving my prayers and thoughts for those less fortunate. Stay in. And protect lives,” Richard Quest said.
Richard Quest noted that he would continue airing his show from isolation as long as he could.
“I feel fine, I feel good,” he said adding that: “As long as I can… you and I will still get together at this time and have a good chat about the economic side of what’s going on,” Richard Quest said.
Two other CNN presenters Chris Cuomo and Brooke Baldwin have also contracted coronavirus and continue receiving treatment though unlike Richard Quest, Brooke Baldwin is not able to continue working.
Chris Cuomo however still presents his show Cuomo Prime Time from the basement of his house and has noted that he will continue to do so for as long as he feels fit.
CNN’s Chris Cuomo also revealed that his wife had also tested positive for COVID-19 last week but was in stable condition.
There are currently, 21st April 2020, 2,428,332 confirmed COVID-19 infections in the World, 166,130 of the confirmed cases have died while 1,625,293 are currently on treatment and gladly 636,909 people have recovered.
Kenya, according to the update by Ministry of health CS Mutahi Kagwe has 281 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the first case occurred on 13th March 2020, 14 deaths while 69 people have recovered as measures continue to be set to curb the viral spread.
