Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula is no longer a party leader for Ford Kenya after being thrown out in what analysts are calling a “bloodless coup.”
Wetangula who took over the party in a similar manner from the then Member of Parliament Mr. Musikari Kombo has been accused of having meetings secretly with Deputy President William Ruto’s political wing.
MP Wafula Wamunyinyi has been appointed as an Interim Party Leader awaiting the meeting of the NEC where the leaders will be elected.
Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati has been accused of planning the coup with an intend of taking over the party as he seeks re-election as Bungoma Governor in 2022.
Wetangula is yet to speak about the ouster but his footsoldiers have vowed to protest the move saying Wangamati cannot take over the party.
Is the prophesy by Wetangula of it shall be messy, noisy and with casualties coming manifesting on himself?
