MultiChoice, Trace Partner To Showcase Biggest Online Music Concert

MultiChoice Kenya and Trace TV have launched Trace Live Online; powered by DStv Now, Showmax among others.

 The 6-week special online concert, starting tomorrow, will celebrate top Kenyan acts and will feature Kenya’s biggest and best live performances.  The two-hour live music concert will be streamed on @traceeasternafrica platforms on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram social media pages on Friday 8 March from 8 pm.

The show will bring together Kenya’s biggest hitmakers over 6 weeks of live online shows to air on Fridays in an effort to support Government calls to promote youth via creative arts during this challenging period.

The premier event will be headlined by King Kaka and will be based on Kaka Sungura’s biggest hits vs King Kakas Biggest hits with feature performances by Femi One, Amos, and Josh and Pascal Tokodi. Consequent shows will include performances and appearances by NaiBoi, Kaligraph Jones, Hart the Band among others.

On his part, Trace East Africa CEO Danny Mucira promised to bring out the best of Kenya’s local artistes scene supplemented by Trace world-wide experience of promoting Afro Urban cultural entertainment.

“We are keen to celebrate Kenyan artists be appreciating their creative work as well as being the ultimate source of entertainment for all Kenyan in line with the Government of Kenya stay-at-home protocols,” said Trace Eastern Africa Chief Executive Officer, Danny Mucira. He further added that Trace was operating within the highest operational Occupational Health & Safety plans, PPE gear with all efforts made to meet the directives from the Ministry of Health regarding COVID-19.

The online event will celebrate our local music greats and will take the Trace TV format or skip, skip with backstories of the artists, and short interviews.
