Most know him for having divorced his two wives after more than 50 years of marriage and then threatening to shoot his son, Mzee Jackson Kibor’s theatrics have seen him voted as the chair of the humorously imagined men’s conference.

Kibor, 86-years-of-age, in his no-nonsense manner has floored his six grown sons in a court battle where they claimed a part of his property in Soy constituency as an inheritance.

Mr.Elkana Kipleting, Mr. Evans Kipkosgei, Mr. Eric Kipchumba, Mr. Raymond Kibitok, and Mr. Edwin Kipkoech had sued their father Mr.Kibor over the 1,250-acre parcel of land.

Mr. Kibor who sat soberly as the judge made the declaration could be seen signing in relief once the ruling favored him and even ordered his six sons to vacate.

Kibor who is famous for influencing stronger men in families is an established farmer in the Uasin Gishu county and a retired politician.

The court case that has dragged on for four years began when Mr.Kibor moved to court to block the transfer of his land to the six sons arguing there was a family dispute on the land.

The ruling was delivered virtually from Kisumu in one of the measures set to curb the spread of COVID-19.

According to Justice Antony Ombwayo, documents presented to the court proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr. Kibor was indeed the owner of the Soy land in dispute and his sons were to vacate in 150 days or face legal consequences.

“The upshot of the above is that the plaintiff has proved his case on a balance of probability and I, therefore, do declare that he is the rightful owner of the original parcel known as LR No 8300 and 8301,16815 and LR 16896/A and therefore an order directing Uasin Gishu land registrar to nullify and cancel purported and illegal consolidation and subdivision of the land as well as the issuance of title deeds to defendants,” ruled the judge.
