Brookhouse School has announced the resumption of its education program for the 2020-2021 academic year that commences on 18th August 2020 through virtual learning for all its students. This is following close consultations with the Kenya Association of International Schools (KAIS).
Drawing upon the global best practice of the Inspired Schools around the world, the school seeks to deliver the highest quality in virtual learning ensuring the school’s education program continues into the new academic year with minimal interruption.
Brookhouse School is also pleased to announce the introduction of a new discounted fee structure for Term 1 of the academic year 2020/2021. Furthermore, please be advised that there will be no increase in fees for the 2020-2021 academic year, and we are extending a flexible payment plan to parents who wish to avail of that facility.
Since the onset of the COVID 19 Pandemic, the school’s virtual delivery has been the enabler of academic progression. Students have been able to finish the 2019/20 academic year, complete their assessments towards final IGCSE and A-Level grades, and take the next step in their academic journey, starting their next grade in August 2020.
The school continues to invest in academic resources and works diligently to retain the highest caliber teaching staff ensuring first-class educational delivery.
At the same time, the school has disputed claims that it was charging parents for re-enrollment. “The re-enrolment form is a standard form used around the world by schools as a means of better administrative planning for timetable delivery and how best to arrange classes for the start of a new academic year. Brookhouse decided to adopt this best practice administrative mechanism at the beginning of 2020, long before the pandemic issue arose. There is no payment related to the re-enrolment form.”
