Today, Dj Lisney and Dj Cibin will be ruling the airwaves with some amazing Afrobeat music from 9 pm in a Boombaclash mode, that is, a mash-up of different genres of music in one show. Each Dj will play their favorite/ most specialized genre of music against another DJ playing their own.
According to Wikipedia, Afrobeat is a music genre that involves the combination of elements of West African musical styles such as fuji music, Yoruba, and highlife with American funk and jazz influences, with a focus on chanted vocals, complex intersecting rhythms, and percussion.
There is a difference between Afrobeat and Afrobeats. Unlike Afrobeat, which is a clearly defined genre, Afrobeats is more of an overarching term for contemporary West African pop music.
The term Afrobeats was created in order to package these various sounds into a more easily accessible label, which were unfamiliar to the UK listeners where the term was first coined.
The House Of Trace show continues to inspire Trance, Dance, and more East African sounds, that wish to contribute their sound in this universal, stay home house party.
House of Trace is pushing for a new feel to these fresh and original beats that get the audience up on their feet, giving viewers and listeners a feel of a real event.
