According to TakafulInsurance of Africa, The cover is provided against the event of bodily injury caused by violent, accidental, external and visible means which solely and independently of any other cause shall result in disablement or death.

The policy does not cover if death or disability arises while you, the participant is:

• Engaged in hazardous occupations & pursuits e.g. mountain climbing using climbing gear, riding motorcycle above 250cc, National security force.

• Under the influence of intoxicating liquids

• Engaged in committing a breach of the law

• Commits suicide or intentionally injures yourself

• Exposed to obvious risk of injury such as war

• Engaged in flying aircraft unless as a fare paying passenger
