Central Bank has finalized plans to build a modern, gated community in Industrial Area with 210 units.
The Central Bank of Kenya, in partnership with the National Police Service, is sponsoring the construction of a police leadership academy that will include 220 houses, classrooms, and lecture halls, as well as an auditorium with a sitting capacity of 450.
“As part of this arrangement, CBK will build adequate accommodation for the Police officers attached to CBK in Nairobi,” said the bank regulator in a statement sent to newsrooms. Police attached to CBK will be given priority once the houses are completed.
The Central Bank says that it has already finalized plans to build a modern, gated community in Industrial Area with 210 units says that it will solve permanently a longstanding problem, and provide suitable living quarters for these officers and their families.
President Uhuru Kenyatta performed the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the same Kenya Police Leadership Academy in Ngong, Kajiado County. He said that his government is committed to ensuring that the police get all the training they need with the changing times.
“This will be a significant milestone for them, also because there is a real need to build leaders in the Police force. According to a proverb, “An army of sheep led by a lion can defeat an army of lions led by a sheep,” said the CBK Governor Patrick Njoroge.
